From this jumble sale the Diabetes UK North Staffs local group raised a huge £558.70 which will help the charity to continue their incredible work in providing support and advice for those living and caring for people with Diabetes.  The doors opened at 2pm and within minutes people were coming through the doors eager to grab a bargain. The event took place on the 2nd March at the Bradwell Lodge, Porthill.

The stalls were stacked with wonderful items ready to be snapped up, which they soon were.  Visitors were leaving with full bags and smiles on their faces.  This is the charity's second jumble sale of 2013 and it would not be possible without the kind donations from the public and customers that came along.

A huge thanks to the volunteers that came along and contributed in making the event so successful.  David Scott, Secretary of the charity stated,

“The Jumble Sale went really well and well attended again. It was all hands on deck and all the volunteers enjoyed the event." 

These events not only help the charity but also provide an afternoon out to see new faces and catch up over a nice cup of tea.  Diabetes UK North Staffs are already organising their next event.
