BELOW YOU WILL SEE SEVERAL VACANCIES ADVERTISED, YOU MAY WONDER WHY SO MANY!   WELL WE ARE A VERY SUCCESSFUL GROUP, WHO HAVE GROWN VERY STRONG OVER THE YEARS AND TO KEEP OUR TARGETS & COMMITMENTS RUNNING AS EASY AS THEY DO, WE NEED TO SPREAD OR WORK LOAD.                                                                                     TO DO THIS WE REQUIRE PERSONNEL TO BACK UP OUR RESIDENT OFFICERS AND SO THE NEED FOR ASSISTANTS. THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR OUR CONTINUED SMOOTH RUNNING.                                                                ALL THE POSITIONS ARE FOR VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN GIVE A FEW HOURS EACH WEEK/MONTH TO A VERY WORTH WHILE CAUSE.

This position will be vacant as of March 12th 2008. It will suit anyone who has a few hours to spare, would like to work with an excellent team and who would enjoy doing their bit for their community.

It is an easy position to accept as the team do share the work and planning... You will be expected to write a few thank you letters and of course attend a few meetings within the group i.e Officers meeting, (once every 2 months), Committee meeting (Every two months) Quaker Meeting House, (Monthly) and of course the AGM (once each year). You will also be expected as our assistant leader, to attend a few events that are organised by the group.

But all in all it is a position that most would enjoy doing and it’s open to all sexes. So if you feel that you have flair for meeting people and enjoy doing your bit for others and would like a years experience of working with a great group then why not apply for the above.

The North Staffs Voluntary Group now has an open and vacant position for a ASSISTANT SECRETARY. This is a voluntary position and is required in order to help our organisation to continue its work. If you have an interest in charity work and you have spare time we would like to hear from you.

We have an excellent secretary who is making everyone’s life easy with all the background work and organising that he does. But like all successful groups we do need to have someone as a backup, who can assist with the work load when he is away etc. David will give all the advice and assistance that would be required to slide in to this very important position. The secretary is actually more important to a group than the Chair, as all secretaries will tell you.

But if you would like to get involved and can find a few hours to spare then why not apply? The position does require the successful candidate to have a good working knowledge of computer work i.e Micro-soft office etc. Which would mean having a PC at home available to use?

If you have spare time and you feel that you can help us as a VOLUNTEER we would like to hear from you. You will be welcomed into our group and we will give all the help and support possible. We have an excellent secretary in David but would like to split some of the work up, David will help in anyway he can during the settling in period then discuss a split of tasks between the two.

Interested then for more information please Contact the Chair Chris Bloor or the Secretary David Scott.              SEE DETAILS BELOW.

Due to the increased demand on our members and volunteers for their fund raising activities the DIABETES UK NORTH STAFFS VOLUNTARY GROUP requires a VOLUNTEER EVENTS CO-ORDINATOR. If you have a good head for dates and times, with an outgoing personality and you feel that you could bring that little bit extra to our branch then please do get in touch with us.

This is an ideal opportunity for an individual or a suitable couple wishing to acquire experience in the field of charity work. With our support we can help you to gain valuable experience in an exciting but rewarding environment.

Who are we looking for? a person (or persons) who can organise events such as our Band Nights, or assist other organisations with advice on how to put together such things as Fun Runs, Car Boots, Jumble Sales, Pub Quiz Nights etc.

This is a part time occupation but it also requires a bit of personal planning during the odd evening and a good telephone manner.

Interested then for more information please Contact the Chair  Chris Bloor or the Secretary David Scott.          SEE DETAILS BELOW.
